Though they are relatively new to the miniature gaming scene, their first edition core rulebook and first run of miniatures from four different factions hitting tables in 2012, DGS Games really have a good thing going on with their Freeblades of Faelon skirmish game. With this being their third foray, both of the first two being successfully funded, into the Kickstarter world DGS really lets you know where they are going and what they want to accomplish, not to mention the bevy of goodies you can pick up as a backer.
With this Kickstarter they have struck close to this old hobbyists heart by rolling out concept art for their version of the Dwarves, the noble race of the Kuzaarik. Anyone who knows me, or is familiar with my rantings and ravings on other forums and websites, will know that you start talking Dwarves you have my attention and I have been really impressed with the concept art for these new models that they are talking about, especially this fine fellow:
Their Kickstarter page has all the links you would ever need to get to know the World of Faelon including several videos describing the all important game play.

If you roll over to DGS’s website and peruse through the miniatures gallery, you will find a host of very characterful models that would look great on the tabletop or in the display case. With factions to really suit every taste and flavor and with a game system that seems pretty straight forward and quick paced, taking a moment to invest here won’t leave you wanting. You will also get to see me smile from ear to ear as more great Dwarf models hit the shelves!
I want to point out again the right side of the page where you will see the goodies that await you if you decide to back this fine project. With contributions levels that range from mere moral support at $2 to the top end of $525, earning you a custom sculpted model of yourself, there is a financial range that can work for anyone. The Kickstarter runs through June 18 so if you are interested make sure you check them out post haste.
A Note From the Kickstarter on Scale
Our 32mm models are cast in white metal (lead free) alloy and designed to match favorably in size with what has become known as “28mm heroic scale.”Heroic scale models are not just taller than 28mm, they are also aggressively proportioned with large hands, heads, muscles and weapons. Our models are typically as tall as current “28mm” models, but reflect typical anatomical proportions and compare in scale with those by Reaper and other top manufacturers. They are superbly sculpted to allow strong character identification and a fun and rewarding painting surface. Whether used with DGS’s games, in role-playing or any other miniatures experience, our figures will enhance your gaming pleasure.
